Winter and Gearing up for 2012 Season

It’s been quite a winter for sports for Laney.  After participating for 5 years he took  a break from the Tulsa Shootout to take advantage of an opportunity to play starting Cornerback for his team in Dallas Cowboys stadium for the Youth All American Under Armour Bowl.

Looking towards 2012 racing season we are looking forward to our first race on April 21st being in Sweet Springs.  Laney plans this year to focus on A class and some non-wing to pull double duty nights.

Will post a more defined schedule when we have it.  Thanks for your support!

October trip to Port City

The team had been wanting to get down to Port City for a couple years now and that finally happened the second weekend in October.  The first night was a struggle with set up, feeling out the track, etc.  Saturday night was much, much better.  Laney had a stacked heat with Jake Rosario, Nate Lauderbaugh, Karley Kay Dobson, etc.  Laney took the green flag, took the lead and checked out.  Coming around the backstretch approaching the white flag a wheel bearing broke and his tire went flying off.  It was very disappointing to say the least, but glad it didn’t happen in the corner and good to know that he could run with those top dogs!  Have a good winter everyone!

Racing in Osceola, IA this weekend!

Laney is back on the track this weekend close to home!  Saturday, August 6th

Hotlaps at 6:30/races at 7:00.  See website below for all the details.

The last time Laney raced there he started 13th and went across the finish line second!

Hope to see you there!

Quick Update

I (Jeanie) have been a little lax at my duties for this website, so wanted to give a quick update on the racing team.  Had a great summer so far with some good finishes.  Laney had an injury to his finger that he had to have surgery for that sidelined him for a bit and our family is preparing to move out of state, so we have not gotten to the racetrack as much as we planned.

Recently a second place finish is Osceola, another top 5 there and a top 10 finish at Sweet Springs after starting 25th.  The weekend of the 4th of July started off good but finished our weekend with getting caught up in an altercation that we are still waiting on parts to fix the car.  Hopefully looking at racing next weekend!!!
