Indianola Race Tonight 7/27!

Racing at 6:30 PM tonight as the Iowa Micro Sprint Series will take to the Indianola Fairgrounds track to be a part of the kickoff to the Warren County Fair.

Good run from the back to the front on 7/17

Quick post-Laney started 7th in his heat & finished 2nd. It was a 100% invert so he found himself starting 22nd in the main and finishing 6th. Great run!

Laney sweeps the night at Sweet Springs

It was a night where all things fell into place as Laney was able to capture his first win of the season at Sweet Springs Raceway.  Laney won his heat race from the 7th starting position, but a 50% invert would give him a 9th place starting position for the feature.  A patient Laney drove his way up through the field and through lap traffic to capture a win in the caution free 30 lap feature.  ( On a funny note he wasn’t for sure he had won until after the checkered flag when he looked up at the scoreboard and saw his number and then saw his Dad running towards the frontstretch-lol!)

Highs and Lows at Show-Me Showdown

Laney raced in the Show Me Showdown this past 4th of July weekend and has a lot to be proud of.

Friday night he ran restrictor class and secured his position in Sunday night’s A Main.

Saturday night he ran A class and started 5th in his heat race.   After a few laps he was getting ready to race for the lead with our friend, Nick Schaeffer, when Nick’s car shut down.  Laney was close on his bumper so they both went into the infield.   Laney would have a place somewhere in the B Main on Sunday night.

Sunday night Laney ran his A Class B Main starting in I think the 11th position.  Laney would drive into a 4th place transfer spot after a tough battle with Haley Witcher.  Laney then ran his A Main restrictor plate race.  He was racing for 5th place after starting 9th when another car dove underneath him in the corner and ran over his left rear tire.  That car spun and Laney kept going, however that incident knocked the front nose wing loose on the car and the official made him pull to the infield.  Laney was not a happy camper.  Immediately following that race was the A Class A Main that he had raced his way into.  A big thanks to all the hands who pitched in to get him ready for that race!  Also thanks to the track who gave him time to make it.  Laney had a good run going when Lanny noticed his chain was loose.  Rather than to ruin a motor Lanny had Laney pull into the infield.  It was a fun, wild weekend!
